Work has been completed on the latest versions of MSO V2.04 and FlexiSurv V1.13. These updates solve a number of compatibility issues with 64 bit versions of Surpac. Also if you are updating to the latest Surpac V6.7 you will need to install the updates of both products as all previous version will not work.
The new version of MSO contains an interface to the popular RefSet program. RefSet is a program used to control Leica Total Stations to automatically set out most types of underground survey mark-ups by reference line or stakeout. It runs on the 1100 series, 1200 series, and new instruments running the Viva operating system.
FlexiSurv now has an implementation of what is being termed ‘Backsight Offsets’. Backsight offsets are used to orientate the drill rig when developing curves. They are generally used when centreline laser offsets are generated but can also be used when generating wall to wall laser offsets. A full description of how backsight offsets are calculated and how they are used is provided in the release notes.
